Integrate Search Console for WordPress website
Google Search Console is a online free tool which is offered by Google to you’re site owners watching their site’s presence in Google search results. It helps you to see search ranking along with keeping you updated about your website errors, indexing issues, and security issues that may affect your site’s search performance.
Let’s see how to add the WordPress site to Google search console.
Step 1: Here, first you need to open the Google search console in the search engine. Then you have to open the Google search console the you and you have to click on the ‘Start Now’ button.
Then you have to sign in with your Google / Gmail account.
If you logged in, It will ask to enter your website URL.
There are two methods for opening a Google search console. They are Domain and Url prefix.
Step 2: Now you have to give the URL of your website in the URL Prefix.
You have to remember that the Google considers an HTTPS and HTTP as two different protocols. They are https://www.example.com and https://example.com as two different sites.Then you have to enter the correct site URL used by WordPress.
If you are not confident about that, then there is an easy way to find out the exact URL you need to enter. Just simply login to your WordPress admin area then go to Settings-> General page. There you can find the site URL in the website address field.
When you finish entering your correct site address in Google webmaster tools. Then you have to click on the ‘Continue’ button to go to the next process.Then you will be asked to verify of your site. There are many ways to do that, but we will show the HTML tag method because it is one of the easiest one.
Step 3 : Then you have to install the plugin “Tracking Code Manager” in the wordPress. Now Go ahead and click on the HTML tag and copy the code in the tracking code manager in the wordPress.
Step 4: Then you have to install the plugin “insert header and footer”. You have to copy the html code and paste it on the header section then you can easily attached with the Google search console.
Step 5: Then you have to install the plugin “ALL in One SEO Pack”. By installing that plugin you can publish your XML site in Google search console. You have to open ALL in One SEO Pack -> XML site. When you choose that, the XML site will show you a new page. You have to copy the link and paste it on Google console by opening the site map option.
Finally you have successfully created the XML site in the Google Search console in the WordPress.
